Ma Ei Thit, Student
Myanmar
“My aim is to become a doctor to serve my community”
Ma Ei Thit (name changed), 7 years old girl, attending grade two, born in Naung Taung village which is located in Eastern Shan State. There are four family members in her family. Being isolated and living in the remote area, it is not easy for Ma Ei Thit to go to the school. “I am very happy that I could study as my brothers and sisters did not have that chance as in the past there were no school in the village. I will study harder to become a medical doctor to serve for my community” said Ma Ei Thit. Farming is the main source of income for her family. As Naung Taung village is near to the Laos- Myanmar border, there is high risk of human trafficking in this area. With the strong team of teachers, an excellent school support committee , Ma Ei Thit may reach her dreams in the near future.
