Bibek, Student
Nepal
Bibek (name changed) is 12 years old and is a student in fifth grade at UWS Changlewa in Sankhuwasabha. He lives with his grandparents and aunt, and his family's primary occupation is agriculture. His daily routine includes going to school, studying, fetching water, tending to the livestock, and helping out around the house.
The hour-long walk to school is one of the challenges he faces every day. “It would be easier if there were a hostel near my school so that I wouldn’t have to walk uphill for an hour every day,” he says.
All of Bibek's teachers treat him and his friends equally. His favorite teacher is Pampha miss, who he says is like a friend.
In addition to studying and drawing, Bibek enjoys playing football with his friends and participating in other extracurricular activities at the school. His dream is to become a successful football player and make his family and village proud. His mother supports his dream and wishes him to do well in his studies and pursue his dream of becoming a successful football player.
